Get Ready for an Unforgettable Pride Month Celebration at St George’s Hall! 🌈🎤
"Dragging Up The Past" is brought to you by Constructive Futures and Homes England.
Join us for a thrilling and immersive experience as we celebrate the legacy of LGBT+ artists at one of Bradford’s most iconic venues!
St Georges Concert Hall has a rich and storied history of hosting groundbreaking #LGBT+ performers, and we’re bringing that history to life with a Pride Month celebration like no other.

Kick off the event with a talk led by Heritage Officer Penny Green, where she’ll take you through the fascinating history of St George’s Hall building - from its Victorian roots to its evolution into a cultural hub for music and performance.
Then, get ready for an exciting and interactive backstage tour with drag acts and creative producer Alice Parsons. Alice is the powerhouse founder of Castles In The Sky Projects and the visionary behind the Bradford Queer Film Festival and OUT OUT Drag King Project.
You’ll be surprised, engaged, and inspired as Alice reveals some hidden gems from the Hall’s incredible past.
Without giving too many spoilers away - we’ll honour two of the most legendary performers who graced St George’s Hall in the 1950s, not just for their immense talent, but for breaking boundaries in representation.
