The Workplace Event 2025

Well what a week we have had with LGBT+ in Facilities Management (LGBT+ in FM) at The Workplace Event.

Sharing the word about our collaborative LGBT+ network, how more companies and individuals can get involved. We shared details of our new guidance documents, and got over 150 survey responses. 

Thanks to everyone who gave up their time to join the stall.

On Day 1, Emma joined Colin Kimber and Liz Dean discussing the importance of Allyship and how everyone can step up and be a great ally. 

On Day 2, Sharon joined Andrew Hulbert, Satvir Bungar, Becky Turner and Bianca Angelico with the hot topic “is DEI Dead” (it could have been quite a quick conversation because quite clearly it’s not)

On Day 3, Sharon chaired the panel Satia Rai and Louise Lowes sharing insights on inclusive recruitment (see the LGBT+ in FM website for a copy of the updated guidance).

And a special mention to Sharon’s daughter who helped out all 3 days whilst on school holidays, didn’t get too bored, and said she’d happily come back again….
